Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats

Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats was written in 1939 and is a collection of whimsical poems by T. S. Eliot about feline psychology and sociology, published by Faber and Faber. It is the basis for the musical Cats.
In the first poeam the writer says that every cat has three different names, there’s the name that the family use daily, fancier names if you think they sound sweeter, but then there’s still one name left over,
and that is the name that you never will guess because only the cat himself knows it.
